ABOUT PIERCE SMITH
Pierce Smith is a professional Realtor-Broker and founder and CEO of Piercesmith.com Real Estate. Pierce’s immersion in the world of real estate began over 30 years ago when he began buying single family and multi-unit residential real estate in the Bay Area as an investment. As he improved and remodeled his various properties, he honed his skill as a general contractor and perfected his knowledge of and expertise in the intricacies of property management.
During this time, Pierce founded the first pictorial “free” biweekly real estate magazine entitled Realty Guide, and developed numerous luxury property marketing pieces for many top realty groups, including Grubb and Ellis, Security Pacific Realty, Red Carpet, and later Century 21. After several years filling requests from friends and family for free advice on property value, construction integrity and smart tips on buy and selling, Pierce acquired his real estate license in 1980 and turned his extensive knowledge into a business.
As if he wasn’t busy enough, Pierce had completed a degree in pre-med, heading toward a career in medicine as a continuation of experience as an Army medic, when fate intervened and he was offered a unique opportunity to work in the field of medical technology. So, in the mid 1980s he set his real estate business aside and began a 20 year career as a sales and marketing executive for a number of Fortune 500 medical device manufacturers, excelling as the #1 recognized sales performer and manager year after year.
However, the buying and selling of real property has always been Pierce’s deep interest and talent, and in 2007 he re-opened his doors as Piercesmith.com Real Estate, focusing on the sale and purchase of luxury property in San Francisco, Marin, San Mateo, and nearby communities.

When not working with clients, Pierce enjoys sailing, traveling, hiking, gym workouts and spending time with his five grown children and grandchildren who live in Germany, Philadelphia, Tampa, and Santa Rosa.
